Excitement in the air in preparation for our eighth annual Marin County Triathlon Weekend!

Approximately 800 participants will be swimming, biking and/or running at this year’s race.

They will experiencing the live drumming and Afro/Cuban music, the boutique feel of the expo, feasting on pancakes and frittatas, sustainable sourcing, very family friendly, the eclectic gathering of professional athletes and first time “TRI”ers …. just the normal stuff that makes this event so awesome!

Just one of the many highlights that make this race event different from other for-profit events is that 100% of the net proceeds go to give children from low-income families in this community the opportunity to learn to swim and to be safe in, on, and around the water.

Those amazing kids will be at the finish line handing each participant their stainless steel water bottle for replenishment and hanging their unique medal of accomplishment over their heads.
Pretty cool.

Former US Olympic triathlete and coach Victor Plata will be joining the voice of Sustainable Sports Foundation events, Chris Hollingsworth, for the call of the races

Besides the Team Challenge for Charity, this year’s High School Triathlon Challenge is taking off with the top schools receiving $1,000 for their athletic programs.

Can’t participate? Come out and help cheer and volunteer to make this special event even more so.

All right here in our backyard….
